We hired Mr. B’s roofing to do our roof after doing our research. DON’T make the mistake we did. Don’t hire this company! Hire anyone else. Mr. B’s didn’t correctly tarp our house and we encountered lots of water damage. I’m talking Bathroom, Dining Room, bedrooms and even water in the basement that ran down the walls. This required us to move out of our home and into a hotel while work was being done. This was a bad situation but the owner of the company (Mr. B) had no empathy, nor did HE take any action to get the house dried out. He wanted to wait several days until “his guy” could come look at it. FYI to all you homeowners if you get the area dried out QUICK then mold can’t grow. If you let moisture sit behind the drywall and insulation then mold could grow and you have to disclose that in any future sale. So you can’t wait for some roofer’s “guy” to come over and take a look. To his credit Mr. B did “finish” the roof. And by finish the roof I mean he nailed all the shingles in place. He did an awful job cleaning up, I don’t think they picked up one nail, and my lawn has become a cigarette butt can. The flashing was missed in several spots. My gutter wasn’t hung back up. And several spots where they broke trim pieces where not replaced. The drip edge is hideous as it looks like a four year old cut and aligned them. There are dozens of nails protruding though my soffits/overhangs that now give my cute little new-Englander a mid-evil Game of Thrones look to it. Now if this isn’t enough, Mr. B’s did contact me and request I pay the other half of the agreed upon amount. I should point out that insurance is involved and I’ve been informed the roof that Mr. B’s put down needs to be removed. In summary, this roofing company is the worst. Do yourself a favor and hire someone else.
Mark, the owner, came out and quoted us right away for a one-day job that we had to replace a smaller roof on our property and repair various other spots and caps on our home. Mark was wonderful to deal with and his team showed up the very next day, completing the job fast and professionally. We would highly recommend and use him again for repairs or a full roof. They even cleaned up after themselves on the way out and were very courteous the entire day, keeping us up to date on what was happening.
We had a 20 year old roof that began to leak. Mark responded quickly and came out to give us options and a quote. We ended up choosing to have it fully replaced with a GAF roof and 50 year warranty. The first nice day Mark and his crew arrived and got the job done in 2 days. They did a great job cleaning up both days and made sure to heavily sweep for any fallen nails. The roof looks great and we would highly recommend him. After doing a lot of research he was the best roofer at a fair price.
They did a great job and finished our roof in one day, including redoing our soffits to fix our ventilation problem! They were courteous, professional and cleaned up well after the roof was completed. I also wanted to thank Mark for the guidance on shingle color, we love how well it compliments the colors of our house and shutters!
